Green Beans Sorrento

makes 6 generous servings

Ingredients:
1 strip bacon
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp finely chopped green pepper
1 medium tomato, coarsely chopped
1 lb frozen FRENCH-STYLE green beans, partially thawed
1/2 tsp oregano
1-1/4 tsps salt
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/3 cup water

Directions:
About 25 minutes before serving:
1. Cut bacon into small pieces. In a medium skillet with a tight-fitting lid,
saute bacon until lightly browned. ADD onion, garlic, and green peppers.
Saute until golden.

2. Stir in tomato pieces, green beans, oregano, salt, pepper, and water; COVER
SIMMER 12 minutes, or until green beans are tender-crisp.

Makes six (6) generous servings.
